I love these crampons, I never slipped on the ice once, while wearing these..I wish I had bought a pair of these years ago. I look at it as cheap insurance against a bad fall

These have large cleats suitable for ice fishing. A bit overkill for going to the mailbox but certainly would work.

After seven winters of trying to walk during winter in Bangor, Maine I decided to get some kind of traction assistance. The sidewalk and roadside ice can only be described as unholy here, and these cleats are really the only ones with aggressive enough spikes to make a difference. Guess what? This year there hasn't been any kind of significant freeze. There are two or three months yet, so maybe I will get to use them after all.
Pros
- The good points: affordability, serious traction, snug fit, they won't really clog up or ice over, good to have for your bug-out gear if you live in a place that freezes over (like Maine)
Cons
- Negatives: they take some muscle to place them over my boots (large cleats with size 11 boots), there might be one point where the rubber might snap (after walking a hundred miles or so), not really suitable for a quick stroll across a frozen parking lot to get to your favorite market

Excellent Traction

The cleats offer great traction. I've been walking on compacted snow and ice trails with no slippage. They are easy on and off and lightweight. I've used them approximately two dozen times.

Fantastic Value for the Price

I received these the other day and I must say that these ice cleats are a fantastic value for the money. As nice or better than cleats costing 5 times as much, these fit my size 12 boots great with no slippage. The spikes are stainless steel and big and aggressive. Bought these for winter hiking and I think they will be a great addition to my kit.

- Aggressive, true to size, easy on/off
Cons
- Rubber possibly a little thin towards the heel, and could possibly rip during use.

Love these cleats - the ice and snow in the midwest is brutal but I can walk my dog anytime now!
