Jacket controler and other accessories
March 30, 2020
Just recently purchased this controller with a Gerbing Jacket and heated liner had a chance to try it out the last couple weeks works really good. I purchased the dual controller figuring i might add pants or gloves or some insoles latter on also purchased the wireless remote for it seems to work okay. The only thing on the wireless remote is it does not display the temp setting on it your have to go by the clicks or the degree of the knobs.

Up and no down
May 8, 2019
The controller works as designed. I use one channel for gloves and the other for linked jacket liner and pant liner.
It is bulky, but I guess this makes it easier to manage with gloves on.
The problem I have with it is that the single button per channel only goes one way so if you want to dial down the temperature you need to cycle through the 6 levels and if you are trying to do this while mobile (and trying not to take your eyes off the road) you end up guessing what level it's at after pressing and counting multiple times.
Up and down controls for each channel would be nice.
Pros
- Works as designed.
Cons
- Up controls, no down controls.

Displays "A" every time I use it
December 15, 2017
It works well, but upon 'every' plug in, I have to go inside the zippered pocket, drag it out to reset the temp setting because they have the letter "A" displayed. I don't know what this implies but when I set them both to "5" all is fine again,...UNTIL I UNPLUG IT, then it resets back to the letter "A" again. Every time I get off my bike, I have to go through the reset procedures before I go again. Still a small price to pay for staying comfy in the cold, but I'm not sure if this is typical or not. any thoughts?
Pros
- keeps me 'toasty' warm, glove controls too
Cons
- have to plug into bike power first, then drag out controller from zippered pocket to reset temp you want, replace controller, then zip up liner, then put on outer layer. Time consuming, but still worth it to stay warm.

Just bought the controller to go with the jacket liner. Easy install, one thing to note (since there are no instructions with the unit) - you must hold down the on/off button a few seconds to power the unit on. They flash '8.' 3 times when you connect, then the LEDs go dark, so thought I had a problem! Evidently this is the normal start-up display, then hold the power button down to actually turn the unit on. Will see how it works with the liner on our upcoming trip, as the wife (from the Philippines) gets cold if it dips below about 75 degrees, and we are expecting morning temps in the high 40's on the trip!
Pros
- Easy to install
- Seems well-made
Cons
- No instructions.
- No holster/attachment to locate the controller on leg or anywhere. Just dangles.

I lost my old controller and needed one fast for the last few days of winter and saw this was the new replacement, so ordered it. It came in three days! So fast I could use it the next morning on the really last cold day in spring. The controls are intuitive and I'm amazed at how it streamlines the way I dress up to ride. I'm now connecting fewer cords both before and after a ride. I just need to find a way to mount it where I can adjust temps as I ride. Velcro mounting on the dash or tank will probably be the solution as opposed to zip tying it to the handlebars on my particular bikes. A great evolution in a cheaper product. It's a thumbs up for me.

The way to go!

Purchased heated system for my wife... jacket liner, gloves and pants. Easy install (other than HD making access to battery a mess). First day it the system was hooked up she used it... happy as a bug in a rug! Remote system controller allowed her easy acces and rest of system fits in the zippered pocket... out of the way. She loves it!
Pros
- Easy install. Easy access. Allows you to store all the remote wiring out if sight.
Cons
- Remote is a little small, harder to adjust with leather gloves on.

Multi bike use of Gerbing Dual Wireless Temp Controller
February 11, 2016
This is a great system especially if you have multiple motorcycles. I use Velcro on all bikes to mount the remote. It takes just seconds to peel the remote from one bike and place on the other. Like the previous reviewer, I place the receiver in the liner zipper pocket. Once there you can forget it and just use the remote. I have not seen the receiver in two months, it is just part of the jacket hidden in that liner zippered pocket. The only thing visible on my Gerbing Ex Pro jacket is the main power lead wire that plugs into the bike and the wire that plugs into my Ex Pro pants

Better than the wired controller anyday!
January 30, 2016
I used to have the wired dual controller and the leather pouch to power my EX jacket. I got tired of the controller constantly flopping around because of the worthless clip design on the pouch so I bought I bought the wireless controller because of the reviews that I had read and I bought it here because it had sold out on my favorite site shortly after it came out. I've had it for about three weeks now and I'm very happy with it. I have the receiver stored in the pocket that the wires come out on the liner and the remote is zip tied on my left brake reservoir. It's much easier to find the knobs now and I now have an idea of the setting because of the marks on them. it was already paired when I got it, all I had to do was plug and play. I would rather have the wireless controller than the wired portable or the permanent controller anyday!
Pros
- More convenient than the flopping around and hard to find wired portable controller and I only have one wire coming out of my EX jacket. Also, I still have heat if the remote looses pairing. Easy and quick to pair too!
Cons
- I have to remember to plug in to the bike AFTER I start it. I blew the fuse on the wiring harness the first time I didn't and I had to pair it with the remote the second time.
