Gave this to my son to wear when he's outside. He wears it often in the winter, but even without using the battery, it's still good.

I have pretty long but slightly thick hair, so I have to tie it in a low ponytail in order to get the balaclava to fit my head without it looking too bulky in the back. However, the fabric is a good, stretchy material that coordinates with the fabric of the vest that I wear with it when I'm completing outside errands. Keeps me warm and covered!
